Columbia Police

Aug. 22

Cole M. Vetter, 30, of Dupo, was arrested for multiple St. Clair County warrants on Route 3 at Admiral Weinel Boulevard.

Aug. 23

Steven R. Antoff, 35, of Dupo, was arrested for an in-state warrant in the 300 block of West Park Drive. 

Aug. 26

Eric J. Frierdich, 39, of Columbia, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant for a charge of being in possession of a Benelli 12 gauge shotgun on Aug. 2 without having a valid FOID card, a Class 3 felony.  

Aug. 28

Zaquori Q. Bradley, 20, of Belleville, was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis (driver), no insurance, driving while license suspended and a headlight violation on I-255.

Aug. 30

Kameron E. Mosker, 21, of Columbia, was cited for leaving the scene in the 700 block of Briar Lake Place.

Joseph A. Matthews, 28, of Columbia, was arrested shortly before 5:45 p.m. for DUI, improper passing of emergency vehicle and failure to reduce speed at Red Roof Liquor & Lotto, 310 Southport Drive.

Sept. 1

Tammy L. Timpe, 62, of East Carondelet, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant issued in October 2023 for failure to appear in court on DUI charges in connection with a July 12, 2020, traffic stop on Old State Route 3 at Skyline Drive.

Millstadt Police

Aug. 28

Police were called shortly before 7:15 p.m. Aug. 25 to an area near the sand volleyball court at village park for a suspicious person who was “engaging in conversation with several grade-school-aged juveniles in a way that disturbed them.” Following an investigation, Jonathan M. Truesdale, 44, of Millstadt, was charged with six counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of obstructing a peace officer, all misdemeanors. The disorderly conduct charges allege Truesdale “circled” multiple minors, “inquired where they lived and what school they attended, and rode multiple minors’ bicycles in such an unreasonable manner as to alarm or disturb the minors and provoke a breach of the peace.” The obstruction charges allege Truesdale denied speaking to the minors when interviewed by police.

Aug. 30

Police are investigating the early morning theft of two vehicles from the same residence on Diamond View Court near village park. There was no forced entry, police said, with video surveillance revealing the thefts occurred shortly before 6 a.m. The vehicles stolen were a grey Nissan Rouge and grey Volkswagen Taos, with the suspect vehicle being a black Honda Accord. “There is a possibility the suspect vehicle was in the subdivision earlier in the morning, around 4 a.m.,” Millstadt police said. 

Monroe County

Aug. 29

Deputies assisted the Waterloo Fire Department and Monroe County EMS just before 8 p.m. for an active structure fire in the ceiling of a residence in the 6000 block of Old Red Bud Road. All occupants were able to safely exit the residence. Waterloo Fire Chief Mike Lloyd said the fire was electrical in nature and originated in the kitchen ceiling. The fire was contained to the kitchen of the residence, he said. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family impacted by the blaze.
