Columbia Police

Dec. 11

Drew W. Dohrman, 30, of Columbia, was arrested about 12:05 a.m. for DUI on Gall Road.

Dec. 13

Domonick N. Gagliardi, 25, of Edwardsville, was arrested shortly after 1:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Main Street for driving while license suspended and on multiple in-state warrants. 

Police are investigating an attempted burglary that occurred at Red Roof Liquor & Lottery, 301 Southport Drive. Video surveillance footage shows that at about 4:10 a.m., a light-colored Chevy Silverado pulled into the lot, after which a male walked over to the entrance of Red Roof. This subject damaged a door to the business with a lug nut wrench, then attempted to kick the door to gain entry but was unsuccessful.

Dec. 14

Police are investigating multiple reports of unlocked vehicles entered during the early morning hours. A total of four vehicles were unlawfully entered in The Pines subdivision, police said, including on White Pine Circle and neighboring streets. Police said nothing valuable was reported missing at this time. 

Dec. 17

Emergency personnel responded about 9:50 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Route 3 at Bottom Avenue near Walgreens. A 2005 Volkswagen driven by Christian Doughty, 22, of Granite City, drove into the rear of a 2008 Chevy Malibu driven by Stevie McMillan, 18, of East Carondelet, which was traveling south on Route 3 at the intersection near Walgreens. Doughty was transported to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County for treatment of minor injuries.

Monroe County Sheriff

Dec. 12

James J. Loesche, 54, of O’Fallon, was arrested at about 11 p.m. on I-255 for DUI.

Dec. 13

Jimmy J. Rhyne, 41, of Millstadt, was arrested at about 2:45 a.m. on Route 158 at Todd Center Drive for DUI and possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine).

Brandon E. Piotrowski, 50, of Pevely, Mo., was arrested on Missouri warrants out of St. Charles and Jefferson counties and Illinois warrants out of Effingham and Fayette counties on I-255. He was also arrested for driving while license revoked. 

Dec. 15

Christopher G. Haney, 58, of Dupo, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant on Route 3 at Rose Lane in Waterloo.

Dec. 18

Emergency personnel responded about 5:10 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in the area of 233 Country Club Lane in Waterloo. The crash occurred at a large curve in the roadway near Waterloo Country Club. Two people reported injuries at the scene, with at least one of them being transported to an area hospital.

Waterloo Police

Dec. 13

Dena L. Low, 33, of Arnold, Mo., was arrested at about 7:20 p.m. for battery at Main Street Saloon, 220 N. Main Street.

Dec. 16

Joshua E. Middleton, 34, and Angela R. Hoernis, 41, both of Waterloo, were each charged with domestic battery. Court records state Middleton allegedly threw Hoernis into furniture, and Hoernis allegedly punched Middleton in the face.
