Columbia Police

Dec. 3

Phillip W. Scott Jr., 29, of East St. Louis, was charged with DUI at 6:16 a.m. on Route 3 at North Main Street. He was also charged with stopping/parking in a non-business district.

Dec. 5

Richard S. Vasquez, 42, of East St. Louis, was arrested on I-255 for unlawful possession of forged registration after allegedly displaying a Missouri license plate he knew had been forged. He was also charged with no valid license, no valid registration and no insurance. 

Alison R. Copeland, 41, of East Carondelet, was arrested on a warrant and for unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe on Route 3 at Palmer Road.

Amber D. Nichols, 27, of Dupo, was arrested on warrants out of Monroe, Madison and St. Clair counties on I-255.  

Dec. 8

Jeremy L. Davis, 46, of Waterloo, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) and felony driving while license suspended (second offense).

Pierre A. Triplett, 28, of St. Louis, was arrested on six in-state warrants on Palmer Road at Route 3.

Dec. 9

At about 11:15 p.m., a Columbia police officer observed a passenger car without headlights  near the levee on Ramsey Road. During a traffic stop attempt, the car sped away from the officer south on Levee Road at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. The officer discontinued his pursuit at that time and notified other local law enforcement to be on the lookout. The vehicle drove around spike strips in the area of B Road and Levee Road, but was ultimately stopped near Herbst Road with assistance from the Valmeyer Police Department. The driver of the car, 20-year-old Dylan K. Lankford of Arnold, Mo., was charged with felony aggravated fleeing/eluding police (21-plus miles per hour over the speed limit), disobeying a stop sign and driving without lights.

Olivia N. Ross, 30, of Washington Park, was arrested on an in-state warrant and for suspended license on I-255.

Kimecia K. Anderson, 37, of Belleville, was arrested for an in-state warrant on I-255. 

Dec. 10

Andrea D. Rogles, 47, of Columbia, was charged with possession of a stolen license plate, driving while license suspended and on an in-state warrant at Midwest Petroleum, 1553 N. Main Street.

Dec. 11

Charles A. James, 55, of Columbia, was charged with criminal damage to property for allegedly damaging a camera Nov. 14 at Commerce Bank, 995 Columbia Centre Drive.

Illinois State Police

Dec. 10

William J. Rogers, 24, of Waterloo, was cited for DUI and improper lane usage after the orange Jeep Renegade he was driving ran off I-255 southbound near milepost 5 in Columbia and struck a utility pole at about 1:30 a.m. No injuries were reported on scene.

Monroe County Sheriff

Dec. 7

Keontay A. Holmes, 25, of Alton, was charged with felony possession of a certificate of vehicle title without complete assignment and driving while license suspended.

Dec. 8

Vincent C. Mathes, 49, of Waterloo, was charged with aggravated battery of a police officer following an alleged incident at Freedom Lake, 5329 Sportsman Road, Waterloo. Mathes was granted pre-trial release with a condition that he undergo a psychological evaluation.

Wyatt A. Bickett, 45, of Smithton, was arrested at about 11:50 p.m. for DUI on KK Road at Route 3.

Dec. 9

William E. Loless, 48, of House Springs, Mo., was arrested at Dollar General, 922 S. Main Street in Columbia, for possession of a vehicle title without complete assignment and driving while license suspended. 

Dec. 11

Charles G. Tull Jr., 61, of Venedy, was charged with aggravated assault (victim 60-plus years of age) for allegedly running toward a 60-year-old male and stating, “I will gut you like a pig” during an Oct. 21 incident.

Waterloo Police

Dec. 10

Lee E. Nichols, 39, of Waterloo, was charged with criminal damage to government property for allegedly damaging the glass barrier and door of a Waterloo Police Department vehicle. Nichols was also charged with aggravated assault of a police officer and resisting arrest for allegedly struggling with an officer who was attempting to handcuff Nichols. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Veterans Drive. 

Dec. 11

Lynn V. Dunlap, 24, of Waterloo, was charged with criminal trespass to land for entering a residence in the 300 block of South Market Street without permission on Nov. 6.
