Columbia Police

Nov. 22

Dakota C. Spores, 19, of Dupo, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis (driver), speeding and unauthorized lighting on Route 3 at I-255.

Dec. 3

Phillip W. Scott Jr., 29, of East St. Louis, was arrested shortly after 6 a.m. for DUI on Route 3 at Sand Bank Road.

Millstadt Police

Nov. 29

Police took a report of criminal damage to school property at Millstadt Primary Center. Two window screens were damaged overnight. 

Monroe County Sheriff

Dec. 1

Edward W. McIntosh, 46, of Lampe, Mo., was charged with possession of a stolen/converted vehicle, a 1994 Chevrolet 1500.

Dec. 2

Gregory N. Wilson Jr., 34, of St. Louis, was charged with controlled substance trafficking for allegedly bringing between one and 15 grams of fentanyl from Missouri into Illinois. Wilson was also charged with delivery of fentanyl and possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl). Wilson was granted pre-trial release under the condition he wear a GPS monitoring device.

Melisa Brkic, 27, of Waterloo, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl).

 Dec. 3

Jesse E. Sellers, 44, of Waterloo, was charged with felony domestic battery (prior conviction) for allegedly striking a female victim in the mouth. Sellers had been convicted of domestic battery in St. Clair County in January 2022. Sellers was also charged with interfering with a report of domestic violence for allegedly attempting to prevent the victim from calling 911.

Adam L. Gonczy, 40, of Waterloo, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic syringe and driving while license suspended.

Waterloo Police

Nov. 24

Emergency personnel responded about 2:30 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash in the 700 block of North Market Street just north of Kolmer Avenue near the entrance to Rural King in Waterloo.  A black 2008 Ford Edge driven by Joshua P. Larabell, 40, of Waterloo, was traveling south on Market Street when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane possibly due to a medical issue. This resulted in a collision with a light blue 2009 Hyundai Elantra driven by Patricia A. Lewis, 78, of Maeystown, which was traveling north on Market Street. Both drivers were transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Dec. 3

Emergency personnel responded about 12:10 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash with road blockage on Route 3 at Rose Lane. Injuries appeared to be minor. Assisting Waterloo police were the Waterloo Fire Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe County EMS.
