Columbia Police

Dec. 19

Rozena C. Carter, 32, of Cahokia, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant and for suspended license and suspended registration on I-255.

A large Penske box truck tipped onto its side during a crash that occurred shortly after 3:35 p.m. on the Route 158 ramp to southbound Route 3. The seriously injured male driver, Chrishaune Wells, 35, of St. Louis, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. A passenger, Jeremy R. Wallace, 37, of Hazelwood, Mo., was also transported to Mercy South for treatment of minor injuries.

Dec. 20

Madison K. Koerber, 23, of Waterloo, was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. for DUI, speeding, no turn signal and disregarding a traffic control device on Route 158 at Campbell Lane. 

Dec. 22

James F. Herrmann, 52, of Columbia, was arrested shortly before 11:30 p.m. for DUI and failure to reduce speed on South Main Street at Ludman Street.

Dec. 25

Tawny N. Fedderke, 29, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery in the 500 block of North Main Street.

Missouri Highway Patrol 

Dec. 24

Mary L. Smith, 70, of Dupo, died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash about 6:20 p.m. at a sharp curve on Route H at South Freistatt city limits in Lawrence County, Missouri. She was a passenger in a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by Irvin T. Smith, 75, of Dupo, who was transported to a Joplin area hospital with moderate injuries.

Monroe County Sheriff

Dec. 20

The Waterloo Fire Department and Monroe County EMS assisted deputies in responding just after 11:30 a.m. for a vehicle fire on Route 3 south of KK Road. The vehicle, a red Chevrolet sedan, was unoccupied and fully engulfed when fire crews arrived on the scene.

St. Clair County Sheriff

Dec. 21

Emergency personnel responded about 7:25 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash in the area of 1317 Floraville Road near Waterloo. The 54-year-old driver of a Ford Focus reported minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Dec. 25

Emergency personnel responded shortly before 6:30 p.m. to a single-rollover crash on Triple Lakes Road near Dupo. The driver of a pickup truck, a 67-year-old man from the Dupo area, was injured in the crash. He was transported by MedStar ambulance to a St. Louis area hospital. 

Waterloo Police

Dec. 21

Zachary A. Gothard, 36, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI at about 10:45 p.m. at Taco Bell/KFC, 918 N. Market Street.

Dec. 26

Craig D. Roever, 36, and Curtis R. Roever, 36, both of Waterloo, were charged with aggravated battery (public place) for allegedly punching a male victim in the face several times during a Nov. 23 incident at Outsider tavern, 104 S. Market Street.

Kevin P. Ricks, 58, of Belleville, was charged with retail theft/display merchandise not in excess of $300 in connection with a Dec. 3 incident at Rural King, 740 N. Market Street.
