Richard and Marlene Buettner recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple was married Oct. 13, 1956, at St. Paul United Church of Christ with Rev. Otto C. Bassler officiating. The Buettners live on Maeystown Road in Waterloo and are the parents of Rick (Kim) Buettner and Sheryl (Glen) Lutz, all of Waterloo. The couple also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
