Columbia Police

Jan. 6

Larry C. Fillinger, 58,  of Dupo, was charged with felony driving while license revoked (DUI, second offense) following a Dec. 23 traffic stop. 

Monroe County

Dec. 29

John W. Williams, 53, of St. Louis, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant for theft by deception.  

Jan. 1

Christopher G. Kaltebronn, 61, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI shortly before 6 p.m. on Route 156 at Trout Camp Road, Waterloo.

Jan. 2

Kory M. Brussman, 28, of Fenton, Mo., was charged with possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl).

Jan. 6

Anthony L. Smarr, 45, of Cahokia Heights, was charged with felony driving while license revoked (DUI, seventh offense) following a Dec. 24 traffic stop on Route 3 at Gilmore Lake Road. 

Waterloo Police

Dec. 29

An additional charge of obstructing justice was filed against Brenndan M. Pietlukiewicz, 21, of Waterloo, in connection with a Nov. 4 incident at RMC Cinemas, 113 Plaza Drive. The new charge alleges Pietlukiewicz knowingly deleted text messages sent to Kyle Johnson, who sustained injuries after being shot in the leg by Pietlukiewicz in the parking lot of the Waterloo theater. Pietlukiewicz was charged  Nov. 7 in Monroe County Circuit Court with aggravated battery/discharge firearm, a Class X felony, and aggravated discharge of a firearm (occupied vehicle), a Class 1 felony, for his role in the incident. The obstruction charge is a Class 4 felony.

Jan. 4

Jessie W. Potts, 39, of Waterloo, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Joan J. Pulache Mesias, 43, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI just after 4 a.m. on Kevin Street at Route 3.

Jan. 6

Candace Werner, 37, of Waterloo, was charged with possession of methamphetamine in connection with an Oct. 20 incident, during which Werner was also charged with aggravated battery of a police officer for allegedly pushing WPD officer Kevin Schreckenberg while he was attempting to perform an arrest. Werner was also charged in October with obstructing a police officer for allegedly attempting to leave the WPD station while Schreckenberg was performing his booking duties.
