Lonnie J. Gotto
Lonnie J. Gotto, 72, of Fults, died Jan. 25, 2013, in St. Louis.
He was born March 9, 1940, in East St. Louis, son of the late Leon and Fayola Gotto (nee Turley).
He was married to Mary Leah Gotto (nee Gidley); she survives him.
Mr. Gotto was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Renault. He was retired from Hartmann Equipment and William Nobbe and Co.
Survivors include his wife; children Marlon (Jane) Gotto, Pierre (Barb) Gotto, Julia (Dan) Stampfl, and Erin Gotto; grandchildren Austin Gotto, Andrew Gotto, Jessie Dill, Kailyn Gotto, Candice Stampfl and Samantha Stampfl; brothers Leslie (Pam) Gotto Sr., Lindell (Marcia) Gotto, David Gotto, Leon (Debbie) Gotto, Danny (Angie) Gotto and Wayne (Sharon) Gotto; brother-in-law James Gidley; and sisters-in-law Dolores Gidley and Ruth Gidley; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Thomas Gidley.
Visitation was Jan. 28-29, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 29, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, in Renault, Father Roger Karban officiating.
Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Renault.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel, Renault.
