Patricia L. Vogt

Patricia L. Vogt (nee Matejka), 77, of Valmeyer, died Jan. 21, 2014, in St. Louis.

She was born June 30, 1936, in Springfield to the late Vincent and Agnes J. (nee Senalik) Matejka.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Valmeyer, TOPS, Red Bud Senior Circle and a graduate of Lanphier High School in Springfield.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite pastimes included reading, visiting with her grandchildren and playing card games. Her signature gifts were her thoughtful and loving ways that were shared with everyone whom she encountered. All who loved this very dear and kind person will sadly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughters Cynthia L. Vogt and Theresa A. Vogt (infant).

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles E. Vogt; children Tim Vogt, Karen Vogt and Kathleen (Jim) Graves; grandchildren Rebeccah, Jamie, Charles, Katrina and Anna Grace; great-grandchild Emily; brothers Vincent Matejka (Jeanne Matejka), James (Carol) Matejka; uncle Leon Matejka, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was Jan. 24 and 25 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral mass took place Jan. 25 at St. Mary’s Church in Valmeyer.
