Joyce A. Nobbe
Joyce A. Nobbe (nee Horn), 86, of Waterloo, died Jan. 31, 2013, in Waterloo.
She was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Waterloo, daughter of the late Otto F. Horn and the late Minnie Horn Gerhardt (nee Crook).
She was married to Edward Nobbe; he survives her.
Mrs. Nobbe was a ember of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo and the Women’s Guild.
Survivors include her husband; children Thomas (Jane) Nobbe, Susan (Steve) Higgins, and Pamela (Randy) Veath; grandchildren Jared (Rebecca) Nobbe, Brad Nobbe, Ashley, Lindsay, Kylie and Taylor Higgins, Courtney (Clayton) Clark, and Morgan Veath; brother- and sister-in-law Robert and Louise Nobbe; nephew Brian (Dina) Nobbe; and niece Janet (Larry) Goessling; along with cousins.
In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her step-brother Herbert Gerhardt, step-father Edwin Gerhardt, parents-in-law Henry and Lydia Nobbe, and granddaughter-in-law Kelly Nobbe.
Visitation was Feb. 1, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, and Feb. 2, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Waterloo.
Funeral services were Feb. 2, at the church, Pastor James Watson and Pastor Ivan Horn officiating.
Interment followed at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul UCC Waterloo, Oak Hill Activity Fund, or Alzheimer’s Association.
