Floyde H. Brand

Floyd H. Brand, 85, of Waterloo, died March 19, 2014 in Red Bud.

He was born March 13, 1929 in Waterloo, son of the late Henry A. and Leona E. (nee Goeddel) Brand.

Floyd was former owner of Brand Shoe Land, Floyd’s Bar and was also a pipefitter.

He is survived by children Ross W. Brand, Pamela J. (Terry) Larsen, Kurt A. (Mary) Brand and Carole M. Nobbe (Jim Sumner); along with 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister Joyce Koetting, brother Willis Brand, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Brand, son-in-law Dane Nobbe, sister-in-law Irma Brand, brother-in-law Jerome Koetting and niece Marilyn Underwood.

Visitation took place March 23-24 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral Mass took place March 24 at St. Augustine Church in Hecker.

Interment followed at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Church in Hecker.
