Amanda Jane Branson and Christopher D. Schweigert of Waterloo have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Tim and Marry Branson of Waterloo. She is a graduate of Waterloo High School and attends Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, majoring in community health education and minoring in Spanish. She is currently an intern at the National Kidney Foundation, St. Louis.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mark and Marla Schweigert of Waterloo. He is a graduate of Waterloo High School and ITT Technical Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Entertainment and Game Design.

The couple are planning a May 25, 2013, wedding.
