Erika Laux of Swansea and Nate Marchwinski of Waterloo have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Steve and Jana Laux of Swansea. She is employed as a project manager of biomedical systems and a registered respiratory therapist at Mercy Hospital.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mark and Donna Marchwinski of Waterloo. He is employed as an apprentice carpenter at Southwestern Illinois Carpenter’s Union.

The couple are planning an Oct. 17, 2015, wedding.
