The parents of Chelsea A. Jacobs of Imperial, Mo., and Corey M. Vasel of Imperial, Mo., are announcing their engagement to be married.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kevin and Lorri (Mathews) Jacobs of Imperial, Mo. She is a 2010 graduate of Seckman High School and a December 2014 Doctor of Chiropractic graduate of Logan University in Chesterfield, Mo., and works as a chiropractic physician.

The groom-to-be is the son of Ed and Christine (Basden) Vasel of Imperial, Mo. He is a 2010 graduate of Seckman High School and a May 2015 graduate of Missouri University School of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo., with a degree in aerospace engineering. He is employed by Boeing, St. Louis, Mo.

The couple are planning a May 2016 wedding in St. Louis.
