Yvonne J. Moore | Obituary

Yvonne J. Moore, 78 of Little Rock, Ark., died July 10, 2013.

She was born Oct. 30, 1934, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Allgire in Valmeyer.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker who spent her life making a home for her children and her husband. She was a Godly woman who enjoyed sharing her faith with others and was an active member of Fellowship Bible Church.

Mrs. Moore was a leader for Community Bible Study and taught Sunday School. She lectured on the Civil War and was part of the Civil War Reenactment and Living History.

She worked as a secretary for Dr. Burton, D.D.S and school secretary for Gibbs Elementary and the Arkansas Baptist School System.

She is survived by her husband of more than 59 years, Harvey E. Moore; four sons, Rick (Terri) Moore of Danville, Ind., Mike (Dotty) Moore of Little Rock,  Ark., Danny (Tamara) Moore of Bryant, Ark., and Thomas (Vicki) Moore of Greenwood, Mo.; grandchildren, Richelle, Lauren, Christopher, Anne-Marie, Jonathan, Sarah and Mackenzie; “adopted” daughters, Joy (Howard) Tucker, Judy (George) Lepper, Tina (Doyle) Brown and Liz Cox; cousin, Ross Schneider; and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly.

Visitation was July 14, at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Alexander, Ark.

Funeral services were July 15, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, Brother Shelby Smith officiating.

Interment followed at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
