Christina Watson of Franklin and Cody Overmann of Columbia have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride is the daughter of Beverly Watson and Charles Watson of Franklin. She is a graduate of Franklin High School and Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. She is currently a first-year medical student at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign.

The bridegroom is the son of Bryan and Joy Overmann. He is a graduate of Columbia High School and a May 2016 graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy. He is employed as a pharmacy intern at CVS Pharmacy.

The couple are planning a May 28, 2016, wedding.
