Vehicle crash in Hecker

Police, fire and ambulance personnel responded about 1:40 p.m. Saturday to a two-vehicle crash with injuries and road blockage in the 100 block of North Main Street in Hecker (intersection of Route 156 and Route 159).
The vehicles involved were a red Ford Fusion driven by Andrew J. Griesbaum, 22, of Waterloo, and red Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Tina L. Mattingly, 39, of Red Bud. Mattingly and a 12-year-old passenger in her car were transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville for treatment of minor injuries. Griesbaum was cited for failure to yield in the crash.
