Emergency personnel responded about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday to a two-vehicle crash on Route 3 at Hanover Road.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department said a 2019 Ford Explorer driven by Emily Bickel, 30, of Columbia, was traveling south on Route 3 and attempting to turn east onto Coxeyville Road. She proceeded into the intersection and collided with a 2019 Jeep Cherokee driven by Alexis Rhyne, 22, of Dupo, which was traveling north on Route 3.

Rhyne and an 8-year-old female passenger were transported to an area hospital via Monroe County EMS.

Neither Bickel nor her 4-year-old female passenger required medical transport from the scene.
