Shirley Anna Davis

Shirley Anna Davis (nee Johnston), 54, of Waterloo, died May 1, 2013, in Waterloo.

She was born Sept. 5, 1958, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Robert E. and Mildred R. Johnston (nee Slezak).

She was married to William “Duck” Davis; he survives her.

Mrs. Davis  worked as a baker for Schnucks and was a member of Victory Family Church.

Survivors include her husband; children William T. Davis Jr. of Millstadt, Robert Davis of Waterloo, and Angela (Robert) Flake of Smithton; grandchildren Carlie Davis, Sydnee Davis, Alexandra Davis and Robert Flake Jr.; brothers Jim (Patsy) Johnston of Millstadt, Bob (Louan) Johnston of Millstadt, Rick (Kim) Johnston of Millstadt, and Mike (Chong) Johnston of Tamms; and special friends and caregivers Dink Adair, Teresa Rusteberg and Julie Hobson; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Cynthia Johnston and nephew Dwayne “Bubba” Johnston.

Visitation is Saturday, May 11, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville.

Funeral services will be May 11, at 3 p.m., at the funeral home, Pastor David Harbison officiating.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
