Round 2 for hockey rivals

The Freeburg-Waterloo Raging Bulldogs and Columbia Eagles will face each other this coming Tuesday night at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex in O’Fallon. The Raging Bulldogs won 7-6 over the Eagles on Jan. 8.  

The Freeburg-Waterloo Raging Bulldogs and Columbia Eagles will meet again on the ice at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex in O’Fallon this coming Tuesday night. 

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. in this Mississippi Valley Club Hockey Association rivalry clash. 

The Raging Bulldogs won 7-6 over the Eagles on Jan. 8.

Freeburg-Waterloo (8-9-4) lost 3-2 to Alton on Thursday. After facing O’Fallon on Tuesday night, the Raging Bulldogs take on Wood River this Thursday.

Ryder Neff is the leading scorer this season for Freeburg-Waterloo with 20 goals and 18 assists.

Columbia (7-11-2) won 4-0 over Vianney in O’Fallon on Thursday, getting a 16-save shutout in net from Ryder Kelly. Kaden Ross scored twice, with both Travis Henson and Cooper Reuss adding a goal apiece. Mason Neidbalski and Kraig Spisak contributed a pair of assists each.

After taking on Collinsville on Tuesday night, the Eagles take on Bethalto this coming Monday. 

Ross is the leading scorer for Columbia this season with 17 goals and 17 assists.
