Richard D. Mentel Sr., 70, of Imperial, Mo., formerly of Dupo, died Sept. 13, 2017.

He was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Illinois, son of Sylvia and the late Robert Mentel.

Survivors include his mother; wife Cheryl Mentel; children Richard JR (Amy Buslison) Mentel, Michael Mentel, and Brian (Dena) Mentel; grandchildren Delana and Bailey; along with siblings and in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation and funeral services were Sept. 19, at Kutis South County, St. Louis. 

Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
