Interstate 255 eastbound traffic was slowed near the Jefferson Barracks Bridge as crews worked to remove a new pontoon boat from the roadway after it apparently fell off the back of a carrier about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Missouri Department of Transportation said one left lane was closed as a result of the incident. MoDOT said the scene was cleared shortly before 3 p.m.
