Survival Flight medical helicopter was requested following a motorcycle crash at 4522 Maeystown Road about 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

The Maeystown Fire Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe County EMS responded to the crash.

The male motorcyclist, Donald Schmittling, 65, of Waterloo, was reported to be talking at the scene.

The helicopter was requested to land at the Maeystown fire station for patient transport. He was airlifted to Saint Louis University Hospital.
