Motorcycle crash by Waterloo Schnucks

Waterloo police and Monroe County EMS personnel responded shortly before 10 p.m. Monday to a motorcycle crash on Route 3 at Marketplace Drive near the Waterloo Schnucks.

Waterloo police said John J. Jungers, 59, of Millstadt, was traveling northbound on Route 3 and went off the roadway, turning over twice before being ejected from the motorcycle. An ambulance transported him to a Missouri hospital.

The Waterloo Fire Department was paged out to help set up an Arch helicopter landing zone outside the ambulance garage, but was canceled because Arch wasn’t flying due to storms in the area at that time.
