Mary E. Diehl, 93, of Waterloo, died Nov. 30, 2014 in Waterloo.

She was born Nov. 15, 1921 in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of the late William R. and Linnie M. Heath, nee Ritch.

She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl E. Diehl Jr.; son Larry R. Diehl, grandson Johnny Huntley, a sister and a brother.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Barb) Diehl and Nancy (Tony) Dixon; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Bettye Mitchell; sister-in-law Ruthie Frick; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo.

A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at the church.

Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to the church of the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
