Mark H. Prange | Obituary

Mark H. Prange, 62, of Modoc, died April 26, 2024, in Red Bud. He was born Oct 20, 1961, in Red Bud.

Mark was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church – Renault, and the Randolph County Farm Bureau. He was a retired custodian for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, and he also farmed with his brother.

He is survived by brother Lynden (Karen) Prange; nephews and nieces Aaron (Jenny) Prange, Lauren (Matt) Schellhardt and Adam (Allie) Prange; great-nephews and nieces Owen and Olivia Prange, Amelia and Zoey Schellhardt, and Layne, Walker and Marlee Prange; aunts Verna Mae Doerr and Sheryl Prange; cousins, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lee W. and Ardell L. (nee Hoffmann) Prange; brother Steven D. Prange, and grandparents Walter and Leona Prange, Walter and Sophia Hoffmann, and Henry Benton.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. April 30 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo and 9 a.m. until time of service May 1 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Funeral is 10 a.m. May 1 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Renault, Pastor Terry Grebing officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Renault.

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Renault or the Holy Cross Cemetery Fund.
