Lylburn A. Nevois | Obituary

Lylburn A. Nevois, 85, of Red Bud, died Nov. 15, 2014 in Belleville.

He was born Aug. 25, 1929 in Prairie du Rocher, son of Clarence and Irene Nevois, nee Stockel.

He was a member of VFW Post 6532 in Red Bud and Teamsters Local 135.

He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight Co. for 27 years.

Mr. Nevois is survived by his wife, Diane Williams Nevois; children Mikell (fiancé Chris Vail) Nevois of Knoxville, Tenn., Michelle (Sidney) Ryder of Michigan and Chad Nevois of Swansea, Toni Fausz of O’Fallon, Mo., Tracy (Marshall) Bickel of Troy; sister Carmelita Sensel of Prairie du Rocher; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Erlene Prange Nevois, who passed away from cancer in 1982.

A memorial service took place Nov. 22 at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud.

A private burial followed.
