Lillian Viola Goley | Obituary

Lillian Viola Goley, nee Raeber, 93, of Dupo, died April 5, 2014 in Waterloo.

She was born Jan. 23, 1921 in Waterloo, daughter of Eugene and Myrtle Goley, nee Dammann.

Lillian worked as a secretary, starting with GMAC and later with her husband at Goley Insulation. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Gene” Eugene Goley Sr., whom she married Oct. 18, 1942 and who died on Nov. 10, 1995; her parents, Eugene and Myrtle Raeber, nee Dammann; her brothers, Harold and Glenn Raeber and her sister, Adelia Bryant.

Lillian is survived by daughter, CoraAnn (David) Dowling of Rochester; sons Lawrence E. (Jerre) Goley Jr. of Waterloo, and Dewayne (Jennifer) Goley of Waterloo; grandchildren Anna Dowling, Cara Christine McVey, Scooter Goley, Jessica Goley, William Goley and Joseph Goley; and great-granddaughter Lauren Nicole McVey.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Private family visitation and funeral services will take place with Rev. Todd Mushaney officiating.

Entombment will take place at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, Belleville.

Memorial donations may be made to Oak Hill’s Whispering Pines Wing.
