Joan L. Frederick (nee Koch), 87, of Dupo, died Feb. 1, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Chesterfield, Mo. She was born April 16, 1936, in Belleville.

Joan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo and the women’s club at Sacred Heart. 

Surviving are her daughters Sherry Mayer (John Botzman) and Linda (John) Craig; granddaughters Allese McVay and Angela Mayer; grandson Brennan Craig; great-granddaughter Emery McVay; great grandson Owen McVay; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Wayne Frederick and her parents, Charles and Frieda (nee Roever) Koch. 

Visitation is 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo.  

Funeral Mass will be celebrated following visitation at the church with Fr. Linus Umoren and Fr. Evaristus Akabueze officiating. 

Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Columbia.  

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; and Sacred Heart Church, Dupo.
