James V. Kuergeleis

James V. Kuergeleis, 57, of Waterloo, died Feb. 15, 2014 in Waterloo.

He was born March 13, 1956, son of the late Vernon and Ida C. (nee Hesterberg) Kuergeleis of Red Bud.

He was the owner of Waterloo Home Improvement.

Surviving are his wife, Debbie Kuergeleis (nee Brinkmann); sons Daniel (Michelle) Kuergeleis, Mark Kuergeleis (Kristy Yearian); grandchildren Savannah, Mason and Lilly; mother-in-law Shirley Wittenauer; sisters-in-law Donna (Ronald) Solich and Dina (Brian) Nobbe; brother-in-law Duane (Christy) Brinkmann, along with uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Leroy Brinkmann, and brothers-in-law Dennis and David Brinkmann.

Visitation and a funeral service took place Feb. 18 at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
