Ida Mae Goldsmith | Obituary

Ida Mae Goldsmith, 85, of Waterloo, died Jan. 6, 2016, at St. Anthony’s at de Greef Hospice House, St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 24, 1930, in Walnut, N.C., daughter of the late Earnest and Juanita Payne (nee Rector).

She married James Goldsmith Sept. 28, 1946, in Walnut, N.C.; he preceded her in death on March 31, 2010.

She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her children Robert (Betty) Goldsmith of Waterloo, Janet Mooney of Renault, James Goldsmith of  Waterloo, Randy (Debbie) Goldsmith of Waterloo, Joyce (Arlen) Koch of Ruma, and Sabrina (Mark) Archambault of Eureka, Mo.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two daughters, Mary Beth and Joann.

A private graveside service was held.
