Jessica Ann Hirsch of Fults and Jonathan Edward Liefer of Red Bud have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Linda and Rick Ubben of Ames, Iowa, and Kevin and Linda Hirsch of Fults. She is a graduate of Valmeyer High School and Murray State University. She is the owner and chief operator of Gateway Grooming of Waterloo.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of John and Sonya Liefer of Chester, and Sue Liefer of Waterloo. He is a graduate of Red Bud High School and Vatterott College with a degree in applied electrical technology. He is employed as a mechanic for Reliable Sanitation of Waterloo.

The couple are planning a June 1, 2013, wedding.
