Edward W. Nobbe

Edward W. Nobbe, 89, of Waterloo, died Jan. 13, 2016, in St. Louis.

He was born June 19, 1926, in Waterloo, son of the late Henry E. and Lydia C. Nobbe (nee Kohlmeier).

Mr. Nobbe was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Waterloo VFW and American Legion.

He was the former co-owner of Wm. Nobbe & Company John Deere Farm Equipment, and Mississippi Valley Equipment Dealers Association.

He is survived by his children Thomas (Jane) Nobbe, Susan (Steve) Higgins, and Pamela (Randy) Veath; grandchildren Jared (Rebecca) Nobbe, Brad (Jennifer) Nobbe, Ashley, Lindsay, Kylie, Taylor Higgins, Courtney (Clayton) Clark, and Morgan (Andrew) Fannon; great-grandchildren Aiden Nobbe and Cali Clark; sister-in-law Louise Nobbe; nephew Brian (Dina) Nobbe; niece Janet (Larry) Goessling; and great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce A. Nobbe (nee Horn), brother Robert C. Nobbe, and granddaughter-in-law Kelly Burk Nobbe.

Visitation is Friday, Jan. 15, from 3 to 8 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home; and Saturday, Jan. 16, from 9 to 10 a.m., atย  Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be Saturday, at 10 a.m., at the church, with Pastor Tony Troup officiating.

Interment will follow at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo.
As and expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo; or Oak Hill Activity Fund.
