Edward W. Horn

Edward W.  Horn, 71, of Waterloo, died May 29, 2016, in Waterloo.

He was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Waterloo, son of the late Albert H. Sr. and Hilda Louisa Horn (nee Keim).

Edward was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He was a lifetime member of Kaskaskia Bowhunters Club, was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the Maeystown Sportsmans Club, and he was retired from Chrysler Corporation.

He is survived by his wife Marcine Horn (nee Gerlach); children Vicki Moore, Valerie (Calvin) Anderson, Pamela Horn, Sean (Mary Beth) Horn, and Brian Horn; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother Leroy (Wanda) Horn; sister Karen (James) Bouquet; aunt Esther (Vernon) Brandt; mother- and father-in-law Lou and Lou Ann Gerlach; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters and brothers Albert Horn Jr., Dorothy Horn and Kathleen Sellers.

Visitation is June 1,from 4 to 8 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo; and June 2, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be June 2, at 10 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Pastor Tony Troup officiating.

Interment will follow at Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
