Donald H. Schrader, 89, of Evanston, died April 22, 2013, in Evanston.

He was born April 12, 1924, in Valmeyer, son of the late Louis and Bertha Schrader (nee Wilde).

He was married to the late Marian H. Schrader (nee Rick).

Schrader is survived by children Cheryl Schrader Chukwu, Donna Schrader, Julia Schrader, MaryLee Reid and Peter Schrader; eight grandchildren; sisters Dorothy C. Rick and Lorraine Obst; and brother Lester (Bonnie) Schrader; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Howard and Raymond Schrader.

Visitation is Wednesday, April 24, from 3 to 8 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, and Thursday, April 25, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Zoar Church, New Hanover.

Funeral services are April 25, at 10 a.m., at the church, Pastor R.J. Morgan officiating.

Interment will follow at New Hanover Cemetery of Zoar, New Hanover.

Memorials may be made to the Stroke Association.
