Clara H. Sondag

Clara H. Sondag, nee Bade, 97, of Waterloo, died April 7, 2014 in Waterloo.

She was born April 6, 1917 in Maeystown, daughter of the late Fred and Caroline, nee Fromme, Bade.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Waterloo.

She is survived by her children Paulette (Alan) Englerth, Carol Jean (Mark) Pinkerton and Diane (Mark) Gorris; grandchildren Jennifer (Brad) Whelan, Jamie (William) Riechmann, Chad Kaestner, Christine (Paul) Hrdlicka, Ryan Kaestner, Austin, Andrea and Alissa Gorris; great-grandchildren Cole Matzenbacher, Evan Riechmann, Lily Riechmann, Emily Whelan, Alvia Hrdlicka and Jake Hrdlicka, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul W. Sondag, grandson Jeffrey Englerth, sisters and brother Viola Carton, Oliver Bade, Leona Coats and Marie Coats.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. April 9 and 8 to 9:30 a.m. April 10 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. April 10 at Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Waterloo.

Interment will follow at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Oak Hill.
