Rachel Bahre and Loren Chapman of Waterloo announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Gary Bahre and the late Sondra Bahre of Sparta. She is a 1995 graduate of Sparta High School and a 2005 graduate of Saint Louis University. She is employed at Midland States Bank.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Ralph and Karla Chapman of Red Bud. He is a 1994 graduate of Red Bud High School, and is employed at Weir Chevrolet.

The couple are planning an Oct. 19, 2013, wedding at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud.
