WFD frees bull from machinery

Waterloo Fire Department was paged shortly before 8:50 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an animal trapped in machinery.

WFD was asked to bring portable extrication equipment to the 4800 block of Kaskaskia Road just south of Burksville.

“It was a bull stuck in a round bale feeder ring,” Waterloo Assistant Fire Chief Mike Lloyd said. “We got to him, covered his head to calm him down and then used the extrication tools to cut the bars.”

The bull was freed shortly after 9:50 p.m. without injury.
