Emergency personnel responded about 1:35 p.m. Friday to a two-vehicle crash on Route 3 at South Main Street in Columbia.

There was road blockage, entrapment and injuries as a result of the collision, which involved a semi hauling soybeans and a black SUV.

Both occupants of the SUV sustained injuries and were transported to an area hospital. They were both in the intensive care unit as of Friday evening.
