Who will be the last hoops team standing?

Local basketball squads are either trending up, treading water or falling flat this regular season, but all records are 0-0 at the start of upcoming regional play. 

How these teams respond to the postseason challenge is up to them. 

The IHSA Class 1A and Class 2A regional schedules were announced Friday. The Class 3A regional schedule will be announced this coming Friday.

Gibault (14-15) and Valmeyer (8-18) will do battle in a Monroe County hoops showdown to open Class 1A Marissa Regional play this coming Tuesday night.

Other teams in the Marissa Regional are Marissa, New Athens, Okawville, Lovejoy and Lebanon…>>>
