VJHS hoops to play at state

Pictured is the Valmeyer Junior High School eighth grade boys basketball team after winning their regional basketball championship last Thursday night. The Pirates defeated Chester in a close 38-35 game. The team will travel to Rend Lake College Friday to play in the State Tournament.
