Long-time Republic-Times subscribers Dr. Glenn and Marilyn Offermann of St. Paul, Minn., recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary together with their children and grandchildren at Chianti Grill & Restaurant in Roseville, Minn. It was also the occasion of the 15th anniversary of their daughter, Brenda, and son-in-law, Rev. Chad Trunkhill.

Glenn and Marilyn were married July 19, 1958, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wartburg, by Rev. Bernhard Strasen. Brenda and Chad were married June 13, 1998, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona, Iowa, by Brenda’s godfather, Rev. Dennis Schmidt of  St. Louis. The Trunkhills live in Hutchinson, Kansas, where Rev. Chad is pastor at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Also present at the dinner celebration were Glenn and Marilyn’s son, Brian Offermann of Roseville, Minn., and their grandchildren, Payton and Ainsley Trunkhill of Hutchinson, Kansas.
