Mary Ann Klindworth, 73, of Canton, died Sept. 22, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center,  Peoria.

She was born Sept. 7, 1940, in Henderson, Ky., daughter of the late Benjamin and Louise Hancock (nee Williams).

She married Lloyd Klindworth on June 16, 1962, in Henderson, Ky.; he survives.

Mrs. Klindworth was a registered nurse for 52 years, working primarily in the home health care field. She helped to organize the first hospice program in Fulton County and also helped to form Christian Service Program, an inter-faith senior assistance program in Canton.

She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She volunteered with the Court Appointed Special Associates for Children (CASA), and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; children Kris (Christine) Klindworth of Champaign, Kelvin Klindworth of Bollingbrook, and Kathy (Eric) Davis of Kankakee; sister Donna (Terry) Husk of Henderson, Ky.; and grandchildren Katie and Lauren Klindworth, and Grace, Hope, Isaiah and Josiah Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jim Hancock.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Canton, on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the church, with Rev. Maureen Stein officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Canton.

Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton handled the arrangements.
