Frank D. Gipson

Frank D. Gipson, 65, of Waterloo, died March 14, 2013, in St. Louis.
He was born May 15, 1947, in East St. Louis, son of the late Howard and Maudie Gipson (nee Willis).
He was married to Judith A. Gipson (nee Washausen).
Mr. Gipson was retired from the City of Waterloo. He also served four years in the U.S. Air Force in the Strategic Air Command during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include his wife; son Neal (Heather) Gipson; grandchildren Grace, Hannah and Katie Gipson; step-grandson David Otten; sisters and brothers Betty Davis, Nelson Gipson, Patricia (Omar) Ibrahim, and Timothy Gipson; and father- and mother-in-law Raymond and Bertha Washausen; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Lee Davis.
Visitation was March 17-18, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.
Funeral services were March 18, at the funeral home, Pastor Steve Neill officiating.
Interment followed at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Life Network (Crisis Pregnancy Center).
