Delbert T. Rodenberg

Delbert T. Rodenberg, 82, of Prairie du Rocher, died July 21, 2014 in St. Louis.

He was born Jan. 13, 1932 in Fults, son of the late Armin and Margaret Rodenberg, nee Barker.

He married Doris Mattingly on Feb. 17, 1953 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Renault. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2008.

Delbert was a farmer and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Fort de Chartres Sportsman Club and Randolph County Farm Bureau.

Delbert is survived by daughters Debbie (Bob) Schilling of Valmeyer, Donna (Steven) Yeater of Waukegan and Denise Rodenberg of Prairie du Rocher; brother Raymond (June) Rodenberg of Waterloo; grandchildren Eric (April) Rodenberg, Joshua Rodenberg and special friend Lisa, Wendy (Dave) Cotton, Tiffany (Will) Korves and Steven Yeater, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Darrell Rodenberg and sisters Vera Schultheis and Virginia Steibel.

It was Delbert’s wishes to be cremated. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
