Evan Richard and Lydia Ruth Kelley

Evan  Richard and Lydia Ruth Kelley, four-day-old son and daughter of Phillip and Angela Kelley (nee Powell), of Waterloo, died June 18, 2013.

Family and close friends gathered at Quernheim Funeral Home June 22, with a private burial following.

Walter Otto Schnellbecher

Walter Otto Schnellbecher, 83, of Waterloo, died June 18, 2013, in St. Louis.

Per his request, his body was donated to science and there were no services.

Velma K. Welch

Velma K. Welch (nee Sims), 87, of Ballwin, Mo., formerly of Dupo, died June 17, 2013, in Ballwin, Mo.

Visitation and funeral services were June 21, at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home, Dupo, Rev. Roger Reid officiating.

Interment followed at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville.

Cora M. Newbill

Cora M. Newbill (nee Donohue), 92, of Columbia, died June 19, 2013, in St. Louis.

Per her request, there were no public services.

Private graveside services were held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Ronald F. Birkner

Roland F. Birkner, 82, of Red Bud, died June 18, 2013, in Red Bud.

Visitation was June 21, at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home, Red Bud.

Funeral services were June 22, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Red Bud, Rev. Mark Nebel officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery,

Virginia M. Presson

Virginia M. Presson (nee Gash), 81, of Columbia, formerly of Granite City, died June 20, 2013, in Columbia.

There were no public services.

Katherine A. Ruby

Katherine A. Ruby, nee Morrison, 84, of St. Louis, died June 16, 2013, in Fenton, Mo.

Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 21, and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Burial will be at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Waterloo.
