Cecilia E. Stork | Obituary

Cecilia E. (nee Pautler) Stork, 87, of Sparta, died Aug. 5, 2013, in Belleville.

She was born on July 25, 1926, in Evansville, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Kreher) Pautler.

She was married to Gerald. L. Stork; he survives her.

Mrs. Stork was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta. She was a member of St. Ann’s Altar Sodality and had received the Catholic Woman of the Year honor  in 1996.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and dancing the jitterbug with her kids.

Survivors include her husband; children Dennis (Lindaann) Stork, Elaine McMath, David (Mary Beth) Stork, Ronald (Joan) Stork, Carol (John) Heizer, Joyce (Ralph) Schulein, Larry (Brenda) Stork, Joni (Chuck) Mraz, Jeanie (Ron) Nagrodski and Marie Davis (friend Doug Capps).

She was also grandmother to grandchildren Peter (Emily) Stork, Kelly (Brian) Bode, Kris Brower, Jayne (Doug) Gum, Dawn (Brett) Ivers, Jackie Stork, David Stork, Laura (Kevin) Terry, Katie Stork, Becky (Jason) Kempfer, Angie (Eric) Stiegemeyer, Jeremy (Jen) Heizer, Jessica (Rich) Soderlund, Tim (Andrea) Schulein, Nick (Mindy) Stork, Rachel (Tyler) Nowell, Chris Stork, Zachary Stork, Elizabeth (Kevin) Hamm, Megan (Kyle) Mann, Ashley Nagrodski, Kelsie Nagrodski, Brittany Davis, Kendra Davis, Trevor Davis and Maddie Davis.

Mrs. Stork also has 29 great-grandchildren Eleanor Stork; Hayley and Hayden Bode; Keegan, Korbin, Olivia, Ezekiel, Isaiah and Elijah Brower; Natalie, Norah and Nichole Gum; Jackson and Rylee Ivers; Audrey Terry; Aidan, Owen and Gavin Stiegemeyer; Liam and Xander Heizer; Jacob, Kaitlyn and Luke Soderlund; Tyler and Evan Schulein; Emma and Jack Stork; Layla Nowell; Emma Hamm, plus two on the way.

She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Joseph Stark.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 9 to 9-9:45 a.m. on Aug. 10 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. on Aug. 10 at the church.

Interment will follow at St. Pius Catholic Cemetery in Walsh.
