Bethany Ann Benyo and Mitchell Ray Wattles

Bethany Ann Benyo and Mitchell Ray Wattles of Lexington, Ky., were married July 6, 2013, in a ceremony in Kentucky, Pastor Todd Thomas officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Sandy Benyo, and the granddaughter of Dale and LaVerne Schutt and the late Andrew and Evelyn Benyo. She is currently in her last year of Pharmacy School at the University of Kentucky.

The groom is the son of Alan and Kay Wattles. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in biology in May 2012 and is currently a second-year medical student at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine.

His grandparents are Harold and Jane Sholders and the late Warren and Betty Wattles.

Sonya Wattles, sister of the groom, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Pickett, Kristin Robertson, Amanda Reed, Jennifer Norsworthy and Jentry O’Daniel. Julia Hard was the flower girl.

Brett Benyo, brother of the bride, was the best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Koenigstein, Tristan Moorman, Stephen Hayden, Nathaniel Winter and Brandon Bible. Carter Farris was the ring bearer.

Guests were seated by  Mitchell Gregson and Patrick Daugherty.

Abigail Brandt and Lindsey West were the program attendants, and Ellen and Dustin West were vocalists.

Lea Ann Carter and Chris Benyo did the readings.

The reception took place at Keeneland Racetrack.

The couple honeymooned at Riviera Maya. They reside in Lexington.
