Waterloo Lumber thief guilty

James D. Huffman, 31, of Freeburg, was sentenced this week to 30 months probation and fined $190 plus fees and $2,117.77 restitution for felony theft in connection with a Dec. 30 incident at Waterloo Lumber.

On that date, Huffman entered Waterloo Lumber and stole brass fittings with a value in excess of $500. The incident was caught on the store’s video surveillance, which resulted in a quick arrest.
