The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Waterloo Buds baseball squad of the Mon-Clair League. Entering the playoffs as the fourth of six seeds, Waterloo won 8-3 over the St. Louis Spikes on Saturday in Valmeyer, then upset the defending league champion Millstadt Green Machine in Belleville on Sunday, 4-1, to advance to this weekend’s best-of-three Mon-Clair League Championship Series at Borsch Park in Valmeyer.
